The team are really pleased to announce that our lovely dementia specialist care home in Bampton, Rosebank, has once again been awarded a national Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award for its delivery of end of life care during the pandemic.

We’ve been re-accredited with the Quality Hallmark certificate by GSF for demonstrating excellence in care standards and showcasing evidence-based best practices in end of life care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gold Standards Framework enables an incredible standard of care for all people in their final years of life, in any setting, with any condition, given by any care provider.

The prestigious GSF award places Rosebank in a select group of care homes, primary care settings, domiciliary care agencies and hospitals in the United Kingdom, and one of only five in Oxfordshire, to be recognised for delivering the highest standards of care.

The award was given as part of the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Virtual Awards on 5th May 2022, which recognised health and social care providers delivering quality care in the final year of life.

Vanessa Lavender, Rosebank care home manager has been at Rosebank for 13 years.

She said: “I am thrilled to see that the hard work put in by our dedicated team here at Rosebank has been recognised once again through this accreditation. Our residents and their wellbeing are truly at the heart of everything we do here at Rosebank.

“We are passionate about ensuring that the highest standards of care are in place, and we all work very hard to sustain those standards, so to receive this award, for the third time, is a testament to a consistent whole team effort. We are very proud of ourselves and what we have achieved through the pandemic, and this particular accreditation will mean that we have held this award for close to 10 years!”

Ginny Allen, Social Care Programme Lead for GSF said: “I would like to congratulate Rosebank for achieving this platinum award and sustaining the quality hallmark award for 9 years consecutively. The homes that achieve this often demonstrate great leadership, passion for the care they give and always recognise the most important person in the care home – the resident.”

“The comments from the clinical associate who recognised areas of strength at the care home includes good communication, training, personalised care, strong working relationships with GPs, varied activity and events programme, amongst many other points.”

Continuing, she said: “To achieve re-accreditation demonstrates hard work which is a massive achievement. The GSF team is so very proud of all our award winners, as there has never been a more important time to ensure we deliver quality end of life care, well done to you all!”

We’re so proud of all of the team here at Rosebank and can’t wait to see what the future holds for the team.

We’re also pleased to announce we are welcoming new residents to the home! Families are welcome to view the home and all procedures are in place to allow this to happen safely.
