Our adventurous residents set sail for a gentle two hour cruise along the River Thames recently as part of an exciting day of activities with Rivertime Boat Trust.
Joined by a resident and member of staff from our sister home, Churchfields, the group made the scenic journey from Bampton, through Aston, Eynsham and to the lock at Swinford Toll Bridge where they boarded a 42-foot boat named ‘Rivertime.’
Day-trippers shared stories, sang songs and tucked into tea and cakes during the course of the afternoon before embarking on a leisurely drive back to Bampton in time for dinner.
The day stayed dry and everyone had a wonderful time, so much so, that we are already looking forward to next year’s trip.
Our residents get involved in a range of activities here at Rosebank, including choir sessions, coffee mornings, Keep Fit classes, gardening and shopping trips.
A fluffy, four-legged resident has also made Rosebank its home recently in the form of cat Sam who’s moved in with owner Ruby. Sam has been enjoying cuddles and company with residents and has already found some comfy places to settle down for a snooze.
